Though well stocked and very large it completely lacks the number of staff required to run it effectively. Having waited 15 minutes at a till to request someone "man" the customer service desk only to continue waiting. I summoned the manager a Mr John Deighton who really should have his job title demoted to junior assistant, however saying that someone junior would have been far more efficient and willing to help. He went on to tell me that they have constraints to work under and apart from offering an apology there isn't much else he can do, he was not compassionate and not willing to acknowledge that the staff should have been more attentive, I guess the staff follow by example like Mr Deighton - clock in, do as little as possible, clock out - customers are merely an inconvenience they have to face.
Ultimately I left empty handed to go over the road to the B&Q where I found far more helpful staff and placed a £6,000 order for a room improvement in my home.   22-02-14
