Certainly exceeded expectations. The welcome was friendly and yet not overfamiliar or gushy. The hiring of a wheelchair was easy and all options explained clearly. With my mobility and communication issues this was appreciated. (Two forms of ID required for first hire) There is the chance to stay for a tea or coffee and also toilet facilities. They offer to meet you in Harlow, eg when i come in by bus. Or maybe if i have problems they can come to meet me in Harlow after hiring wheels. There is also a car park if you or family drive. Having met several volunteers am impressed by the understanding of my needs, empathy and some laughs together too. They have been consistent in their welcome and i can highly recommend calling in, even to see if it could be what you're looking for -maybe a self propelled wheelchair, assisted or scooter. ( full training given for the scooter ) A years' memebership is £12 then £1 for the self propelled wheels each time. Or there is a £5 guest option but i can't remember what that invloves as i went straight for membership! All the Volunteers at Shopmobilty made what has been a difficult transition in my health conditon,a whole lot easier. Glad to have the chance review them and thank them.
